DMR Dirt Wars FMB Mountainbike Freestyle Series 2016 IS A GO

Started out in 2010 Dirt wars UK has gone from strength to strength to become the UK’s leading Dirt Jump Series.

Every year we have managed to better the last year even with the British weather against us! In 2015 we topped everything we had done before by hosting a round not only at NASS (The National Adventure Sports Show) but also our series final at The Cycle Show at the NEC alongside the Monster Energy Sam Pilgrim Big Air Invitational.

Our aim is to give European riders the best British venues, with a variety of different jump styles, not only to test the rider’s ability through out the season but also to create the best possible action at the competitions

WE are also stoked to announce that we will be hosting all of our rounds this year as part of the Freestyle Mountain Bike World Tour (FMBWT) for the second year running. All 5 rounds of DWUK will be hosted as FMB Bronze events as The British National FMB Freestyle Series.

All Licensed Riders will gain points on the FMB World Tour towards their World Rankings as well as Team Points if they are a registered FMB Team. Check out our FMB Dirt Wars Webpage @ http://www.fmbworldtour.com/en/Events/National-Series/DirtWarsUK.html

We are always proud to say our series has been and still currently backed by some of the biggest names in the MTB Industry.

2016 Sponsors:-

For 2016 we are super proud to have DMR Bikes as our title sponsor for the Third year running. A true British Dirt Jump brand for a true British Dirt Jump series!

DMR have been with us since day one and always put up amazing prize packages that the riders love.

Monster Energy will again be supporting the series giving the rider’s rehydration at all rounds of Dirt Wars UK with their awesome energy drink.

We are stoked to announce that Go-Pro EU have come on board for 2016 as our official action cam sponsor. Go-Pro will be supplying us with their awesome quality Hero4 cams to film the series and all Dirt Wars goings on. The Hero4 is the crème of la crème in the action camera industry and totally destroys the competition and they are also chucking some cams into the prize bags too

We would like to welcome Marzocchi back for their forth year supporting the series.  Marzocchi will be adding some suspension magic to the open prize packages again this year in the form of their new Slope and DJ1 fork.

Azonic have signed up for 2015 as their Daddy company Oneal love us so much they have kitted out the prize bags with some off the hook new shiny bits for the open riders to cherish on winning.

Smuggling Duds will be with us for their 7th series including their SD boxer shorts to our prize packages. All the riders and crew love the SD’s as they have become the most popular boxer shorts for Dirt Jumpers

The 2016 clothing sponsor will be in the form of Dickies Streetwear for their third year supporting the series.

Whilst more well known within the skateboard world, Dickies streetwear have decided to get involved with MTB and have backed the DWUK Crew and series for three years in a row.

CamelBak have joined us again for 2016 bringing their hydration packs into the mix to keep some of this years winners hydrated whilst out on the trails.

Oneal Protection are back with us for 2016 supplying winners with Knee-pads and Gloves to protect body parts when taking a bail…

Rose Bikes are back with us and a few lucky winners will be walking away with one of their amazing Bruce Dj frames..

Bell Helmets have been with us since day one and normally take the best crash comp but this year we have decided to give them the best trick comp as we don’t like to see our riders crash.  So the best trick at each round will get you a new shiny Bell helmet!

Pinkbike.com will again be our official media partner so check out their site for all reports, photos and edits after each round aswel as edit appearing on Epic Tv.

This years venues will include: - Chicksands Bike Park Bedfordshire- We are really excited about Chicksands being round 1 of the series as the trails are super sandy so May is the perfect month to start things off. The jumps have been worked on all winter and they are looking mighty fine and ready for some DWUK action. Holdshott Trails, Hampshire – A return to Holdshott trails will be welcome by many as it was viewed as one of the most fun rounds of the year but if you weren’t there then this tried and tested trail spot which will not disappoint from a riders point of view. This spot is on private land and has a mixture of big dirt jumps, twisting trails and slopestyle obstacles, which again will provide one of the most exciting comps of the year. NASS, SheptonMallet – Nass has to be one of the most fun festivals in the UK. Surrounded by extreme sports by day then party hard by night. This will be our third year in a row at NASS and its defiantly a riders favorite. The music line up this year will be headlined by Jurrasic 5, Andy C, Knife Party, Stormzy, Netsky and Spor, aswell as tons of other artists and DJ’s. Bmx Legend Mat Hoffman will also be making an appearance on the BMX set up. This is going to be one Manic weekend not to be missed out on.
