DMR Dirt Wars Round 4 Radical Bike Park Dirt Line

After RocketWorld 2.0 never happened we decided to call the guy's at Radical Bike Park in Chelmsford Essex to see if we could return there for Round 4 of the series but this time use their Dirt to Dirt lines instead of the Comp line which has big wooden kickers on it.

The guy's at Radical Bike Park were up for it so the decision was made to change venues instead of dropping a round out of the series.

With a lot of our Pro Riders away getting ready for Crankworx Diamond events, Dual slalom and Speed and Style the Pro numbers weren't as good as previous rounds but the upside was the Open/AM Class was stacked out (Which is what we prefer as DWUK is about the progression of the sport not about the guy's who have already made it Pro).

Radical has 3 different dirt lines ranging from small table tops to big Dirt Jumps and Hips and with a few younger smaller riders in the Open/AM line up we decided to run the Open/AM comp on the middle dirt line (Main Line) and the Pro/Elite riders on the the Big Dirt Hip Line.

The Open Class went off big time with the Open/AM riders pushing their limits and we even had a backflip and barrel roll from Oli Galviz (One of our youngest DWUK riders)

Unfortunatly Niall Greenstreet from the Riverhead Trails Crew got a bit tangled up in his bike on a tailwhip attempt in his finals runs and snapped his lower leg clean in two which was a massive shame as he was in 1st place at that moment in time. Massive healing vibes to you Niall and we hope to see you back on a bike in no time at all.

After all the Open/AM riders had their final run the scores were as follows

Well Done Lads and we will see some of you at the Malverns.....

With the Pro line up looking low and Jake Atkinson already having 3 straight wins under his belt for the 2022 season already was there going to be anyone that could stop him clearing up on the series. With Jordan Clark, Fin Davies, Zac Rainbow, Josh Crosswell, Charlie Bowman, Sam Berry and Pro New Guy Harry Bolton (Privateer) in the mix we were sure it was going to be a massive battle to knock him off the top spot and boy did these guy's come out swinging...
